When and Where?

816 Kids

For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs-heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Romans 8:16 (in context)

There is something very unique about children. It seems as though there is very little that can squelch their faith. I can recall when I was a young child that I truly believed that I would never get hurt. I was proved wrong every day as I dove from the coffee table, belly flopped into pool, and tried to leap some impossible distance. Each time I failed and yet I kept on crashing, jumping, and leaping. It seemed as though noting would break my spirit or stop me from believing that this time I would make it. It is that unique faith that Christ saw in children and commented on in Matthew 19. The crowd didn't see it and the disciples also did not see it.  Jesus, however, asked that the children be brought to Him. We all could take a lesson from Christ and from the children since according to Romans 8:16 we are all children of God. 816kids has supreme privilege to partner with parents to serve and raise children to the biblical standard set before us. Our ministry here at 816KIDS is to support parents in raising their children and to aid in teaching children to live a Christ like life.
