What We BelieveThe beliefs of Sunset Community Church can be summed up in the seven tenets of our faith: 1. We are a Bible believing church.
The Bible is our sufficient rule for faith and practice.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
2. We believe God is triune.
God can be experienced in three separate persons, God the
Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19
3. We believe mankind needs a Savior.
Man's only hope for redemption is through the shed blood of
Jesus Christ the Son of God.
John 14:6
4. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence
of speaking in tongues.
This is a subsequent work of the Holy Spirit that happens
after someone accepts Christ.
Acts 1:5
5. We believe that Divine healing is for today.
The power of God is active, able, and willing to heal your
body, mind, and spirit today.
Matthew 10:7-8
6. We believe that there are eternal consequences.
The bible teaches that God has prepared a place in heaven
for those who have believed in and followed His Son while on
earth.
John 14:1-4 Revelation 20:11-15
7. We believe that we have been called as a church to a mission.
The bible teaches that our Lord Christ Jesus has a mission for
us (the church) to do while we are here on this earth.
