What is Sunset's viewpoint on water baptism?
We follow the following five key concepts concerning water baptism:
1. Baptism shows we are followers of Christ (Matthew 3:15; 28:19,20).
2. Water baptism is a visual testimony of our spiritual birth (Romans 6:4; 2 Corinthians 5:17; John 3:4-6).
3. It shows that one has chosen to serve God, not self (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3,4,11-14).
4. It is a symbol that a person’s sins have been washed away (Psalm 51:7; Romans 6:3,6).
5. Water baptism shows one is now dead to sin and alive to Christ (Romans 6:3-11).
Kids In Christ FAQ
How old does my child have to be to start attending the Elementary?
Our Elementary Program hosts children from 5 years old to 12 years old. It is required that children be potty trained prior to attending.
How old does my child have to be to start attending the Nursery?
Our recommendation is that your child is at least six months old prior to bringing him or her to the Nursery. There is also a nursing mothers room available in the back of the sanctuary that has a one way viewing window in to the service. Mothers are welcome to attend to, nurse, or sit with children in this room
How old does my child have to be to start attending the Preschool?
Our Preschool Program hosts children from 3 years old to 5 years old. It is recommended that children be potty trained prior to attending. We do not diaper preschoolers. If your child needs to be changed you will be asked to come change them.
How will you contact me if my child needs me?
If your child becomes inconsolable or unwell, a note on the bottom of the main screen will display your child’s security code. If your child’s number appears on the monitor, please return to the room where you dropped him or her off.
How does Kids In Christ keep parents involved in their child’s experience at church?
We believe the best way for parents to be involved in what their child is learning is to become a part of the team that teaches your child. Each week, volunteers do everything from greeting families to teaching and leading kids in worship.
How can I volunteer in Kids In Christ?

What to Expect at Sunset
Is there a dress code at Sunset?
At Sunset, we have a "Come as you are" mentality! We do not expect everyone to be dressed up or in suits.
I have a newborn and I'm afraid to make a scene
We love having babies around! There is no problem having a baby in the sanctuary. If your baby starts to become fussy or needs to be nursed, we have a nursing mothers room with a one-way window at the back of the sanctuary where you will be able to hear and see the service.
